 Ravenscroft Mr, Charles (I8) born in June 1841 at Wynberg, Cape Town, Cape Colony South Africa and died on 24 Apr 1912 in Montague, Western Cape, The Union of South Africa.

Charles discovered the Montague Guano Caves and bought the farm on which the caves were situated. The deposits were world famous and the Guano was exported all around the world for use as fertiliser.
